Ainsi de suite (And so on)

Roland opens the door of his bedroom to talk about his sentimental life (Formidable – 2015),
as Yvette talks to us about what she’s doing during the day as a wowan (Toujours Pareil – 2016).
In his workplace, Adel takes up the monotonous side of his daily life and seeks solutions to counter the repetition he is subject to (Comme tout le monde – 2017). After 55 years of common life, a retired couple developed its own way of living and communicating their feelings. (15.05.1960 – 2015).
In the middle of this, a little girl surrounded by adults takes a look at the world offered to her and resists what is expected of her (Oh qu’elle est belle ! – 2016 / Joyeux Anniversaire – 2017 / Pirouette Cachuète – 2017).

For this 2018 edition of Les Itinerrances des Poissons Rouges, the artist brings together these different worlds within a facility – interstice within the exhibition – and leads us to position ourselves on the border between private space and public space. This series of personal stories, which the artist captures by practicing door-to-door, invites us to penetrate intimate spaces, where a privileged word is defined while drawing universal questions to which everyone can relate.
